Dr Ethan Lim Yii Hong is a physician working at the Parkway Shenton Medical Group in 1 Raffles Quay North Tower in charge of the Sports and Preventive Medicine Branch. He graduated with MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 2002 and obtained his Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification with American College of Sports Medicine and his Sports Medicine Course Certificate with the Singapore National Olympic Committee-International Olympic Committee. He has extensive experience in the sporting and exercise field and is heavily involved in the sporting scene in Singapore. He has been working with and looking after elite athletes since 2009 and was Team Physician for numerous major games such as Southeast Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and was notably the Chief Medical Officer for the Singapore contingent to Asian Youth Games in 2013 and Asian Games in 2014.
Dr Lim’s clinical practice focuses on sports injuries and rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation and lifestyle intervention with a focus on exercise, nutrition and lifestyle, and optimising physiology, function and performance through healthy living. He sees patients throughout the functional spectrum of sedentary to active, youth and elderly and all types of elite athletes as well as para-athletes.
Currently as part of the Sports and Preventive Medicine team under Parkway Shenton, Dr Lim looks at bringing sports and exercise services to the community and bringing lifestyle optimisation and improvement to everyone, be it his cardiac patients, the sedentary office-worker, the casual weekend warrior or even his elite athletes.
